Egyptian Citrus ranks among the world’s largest producers and exporters of Citrus, Especially Egyptian Orange, which is considered the most beautiful taste worldwide due to the perfect climate, which is the main factor in presenting perfect Quality in terms of taste, coloration, and texture.

Fresh Zone presents all Production varieties of Egyptian Citrus as below :

Orange varieties: Orange is the major citrus species crop in Egypt, while the cultivated area reaches (133.236) hectares representing about 69% of the total cultivated citrus area, this area produces 2.9 million tons approximately, representative about 69% of the total citrus production and representing around 30% of the total Egyptian fruit production exports.

Valencia orange is the leading citrus cultivar produced in the new land, representing the second rank of Egyptian citrus exportation after Navel orange fruits. The Valencia orange cultivated area reached 53090 ha, representing 26% of the total citrus cultivated area, and the fruitful area reached 43000 ha, producing 1165444 t, representing 27.27% of the total citrus production in the country.


Several orange varieties are produced in Egypt, while, Navel orange is considered the main variety produced in Egypt, it shares more than 39% of the country’s citriculture, and the total cultivated area reaches 68851 ha, with total production of 1489536 t from 60659 ha fruitful area
